Why “Valiant for Truth”?

The phrase “Valiant for Truth” comes from Jeremiah 9:3

Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men. And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the Lord. (Jer. 9:1-3 KJV).

We hope to be people who can be lights in the midst of a corrupt world and be valiant for the Truth, the Word of God.

Because valiantfortruth.wordpress.com was already taken. Really.

And besides, what better way to pay tribute to our roots at Google Plus than to give a hat tip to the great Christian community that calls the social media haven of Plus home? Many of the links in our blogroll are taken from contacts we have made, thanks to Plus, which would be just another social media website if not for the like-minded brothers and sisters there. We hope that those of you here, from both Google Plus and beyond, will be blessed by what you read.
